    • CUSTOMER DROP OFF–AFTER HOURS–CALL FOR DETAILS–CUSTOMER REPORTS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, LOW POWER. CUSTOMER CHECKED CODES, SHOWED FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR CODE.
    • INCLUDES SCANNING OF PERTINENT MODULES, RESEARCH OF CODES FOR POSSIBLE CAUSES, AND ESTIMATING TIME NEEDED TO DIAGNOSE CODES(S) Scanner check shows codes P0089–fuel pressure regulator performance, P0300–random misfire detected, and P228D–fuel pressure regulator 1 control performance-high pressure. Recommend 1.5 hours to diagnose.
    • Checked low pressure fuel system, 60 psi cold. As engine warms up, becomes erratic. Road tested vehicle, engine dies, pressure not steady. Inspected fuel pump control module for burnt or damaged terminals, all ok at module. Recommend low pressure fuel pump and recheck operation.
    • Replaced low pressure fuel pump, rechecked low fuel pressure, holding and steady. Cleared codes, road tested, rechecked codes, no pending or current codes.
    • Replaced PCV hose.

    • Inspected vehicle has no battery power, battery is 1 year old jump started vehicle. Vehicle started and alternator whining severely, unhooked jump box vehicle stalled indicating that charging system is inop, recommend replacing alternator and charge battery and recheck starting complaint.
    • Removed and replaced alternator. Refilled cooling system as needed. Test drove & rechecked charging system. Rechecks good.
